Now that a few weeks have passed the Tyler DeMarco Foundation would like to acknowledge the kind, thoughtful and selfless act of a very special couple. Mr. & Mrs. Nicholas (Stephanie) Ronca.

Nick & Steph were married on June 4th, 2016. But unlike most couples they chose to focus on something more than themselves on their very special and important day. You see, Nick and Steph are both teachers who have dedicated their lives to children, other people’s children for the time-being. Nick called me and explained:

In the several short years Nick has been teaching he has been profoundly touched by many remarkable students for their abilities, wit, talent and academic achievements. Many of these same students possess these gifts under difficult and sometimes extremely depressing circumstances. Nick further shared that he had been moved by three students in particular whom he had the honor of teaching; our son Tyler DeMarco, Devon LaPrade and Kalina Young.

Nick stated that he and his bride-to-be have chosen to honor Tyler, Devon and Kalina at their wedding reception. In lieu of wedding favors Nick stated that he and Steph have decided to make a donation to the Tyler DeMarco Foundation in honor of Tyler, Devon and Kalina who attended the Mohonasen Central School District and had died while battling childhood cancer. Nick & Steph wanted their wedding guests to know Tyler, Devon and Kalina. We decided on the following:

Steph wrote a personal message to their guests and I gathered some photos and took the idea to our friends and foundation partners at Camelot Printing who created a large beautiful poster-board in the chosen wedding colors. In addition, Nick & Steph wanted their guests to have the option of making private donations if they wanted, so Camelot Printing also created 3″ X 5″ placards for each place setting with our foundation name and contact information for donations.

All we can say is CONGRATULATIONS and THANK YOU, Nick & Steph!

Thank you for your donation, thoughtfulness, selflessness, generosity and for your unique perspective. This was your day and your day alone, but you chose to make it about something greater than yourselves by honoring three AMAZING, BEAUTIFUL and WONDERFUL children named Tyler DeMarco, Devon LaPrade and Kalina Young.
