Tyler DeMarco Foundation wants to thank the Our Lady Queen of Peace Youth Board, Adult Committee and the many other OLQP volunteers who through effort and imagination organized and hosted this fantastic Dance-a-Thon Fundraising Event that will benefit our Fight against Childhood Cancer! This was a wonderfully organized, fun and successful event that would not have been possible if not for the hard work of the above mentioned organizers, goods and services donated by individuals and business’s and the monetary contributions provided by the community at large! For all this… the Tyler DeMarco Foundation truly thanks you!
Please take a moment to read a short note released by event coordinator, Mrs. Deb Ploetz:
“BIG thank you to all who helped and donated to the OLQP Dance-a-thon to fight Pediatric Cancer. The numbers aren’t finalized yet, but we are well over $2000, which is being donated to the Tyler DeMarco Foundation for private rooms for seriously ill children at Albany Med. Can’t thank enough all the Youth Board Members who really made this event happen. I wish I could list their names but there are a lot of GREAT kids in this area who are NOT bullying, hurting other people, or destroying property and are instead taking time out of their extremely busy schedules to plan and run events like this. THEY deserve top billing on the news! Also thanks to the organizing committee Karen Vitagliano, Carmela Pasquarella, Donna Denny, Alicia Borini, and Father Vincent, and great volunteers Kathleen Rizzo, Nikki Robles, Anita Farina, Pat Retzlaff, Jennifer Rathbone, Shirley Milano, Jeff Ploetz, Anna Robles, Liz Samborin, Lorri Dunleavy, CRUSH, and DJ Claude Sawyer, and more for all they did. The guest of honor Dante looked GREAT on the dance floor, but the posters Don DeMarco brought were sobering. We have to all keep fighting for a cure!”
